The Bazaar of the Bizarre is Today!

Today is our last craft show of the year, and it’s a great one. Last year’s Frostbite edition of the Bazaar of the Bizarre was one of our first and most successful shows, and we’re looking forward to what today will bring. As anyone who’s perused our recent posts will know, our version of the holidays is a little Nightmare Before Christmas. Keeping with that theme, here’s another necklace from Sarah:

If you’re in Toronto and want to drop by, we’ll be at the Pia Bouman Ballet School (6 Noble Street in Toronto) from 11-8. The show is full of art, clothing, jewellery, books, and other crafts by local creators.

Cat Christmas Cards by Sarah Varnam

Sarah is our cat person at Apple of my Odd Eye, so it isn’t surprising that her latest cards are cat-themed. Here’s today’s Christmas artsy-crafty feature:

“Sky (Serenity)” Painting by Ashley Pleasant

We’re nearing the end of our 30 days of Craftmas (just made that up–sorry) leading up to our final show of the year, the Bazaar of the Bizarre: Frostbite Edition in Toronto on December 14 (this weekend!) at the Pia Bouman Ballet School in Toronto. Today’s feature is this new painting by Ashley Pleasant:

We seem to have a bit of a sparkle theme going on lately, and we’re okay with that. The photo doesn’t really do this piece justice, but you can see it at the BotB show this weekend.

More Octopi by Sarah

Today we’ve got a few more octopus necklaces as our holiday crafts, courtesy of Sarah’s obsession with sea creatures:

The ribbon is a new style we’re trying out. So far, we’re fans.

They’ll be available for sale at the Bazaar of the Bizarre: Frostbite Edition on December 14 in Toronto, a show that we love both as vendors and as guests. If you’re into dark and/or unusual arts and crafts, this is the holiday craft show for you.

A New Painting from Ashley Pleasant

Ashley has more work for us today. This painting’s subject should be familiar from an older piece we featured in our first post about Ashley Pleasant’s work.

Cute Bird Ornaments with Real Feathers

The latest in our line of adorable bird ornaments are these sparkly little things:

They also come in a more sedate brown, though the eyes are still gold sequins:

You’ll be able to find these and all our other seasonal pieces at the Bazaaar of the Bizarre: Frostbite Edition 2014 on Sunday, December 14 from 11 a.m.-8 p.m. at the Pia Bouman School for Ballet, 6 Noble Street in Toronto.
