Today we’re at the Strange and Astounding Show in Oshawa. Among other things, we have this sparkly, stripey ornament on display:
Icy Eye-cicle
Today’s eye-cicle is the iciest of them all:
This chilly piece will be at the Strange and Astounding Show with us tomorrow!
An Eye-cicle for Xmas
Our craft for today is the first in a series of eye-cicles, a creepy-cute line of Christmas decorations:
I love the candy-cane stripes, but they took forever! We’ll have this little guy and a bunch of other crafts and art pieces at the Strange and Astounding Show this weekend.

Octopus Necklace
Our featured craft for today is this teeny octopus necklace.
It’s almost too cute to sell, but it’ll be with us at the Strange and Astounding Show this weekend.

Today in Crafting: Mini Christmas Cards
Today, we’re featuring these mini Christmas cards:
These were made with cloth, glitter glue, and small pieces of card stock. The envelopes are thick paper held together with tape (the red star can be used as decoration and/or to hold the envelope closed). Email us at appleofmyoddeye@gmail.com if you’d like to order some. They’re small enough to fit in your palm but big enough to wish someone a happy holiday! You can also find us at the Strange and Astounding Show next Saturday and Sunday (November 29 and 30) in Oshawa.
Steampunk Earrings
Today’s craft is a pair of steampunk earrings. Sarah bought the gears at Michael’s art store and the wire and earring hooks at a dollar store.
These were fun and quick to make (much quicker than our polymer earrings!). We’ve got a few similar pieces like this up on our Etsy, and we’ll be selling our jewellery, art prints, cards, pin-back buttons, and more at the Strange and Astounding Show in Oshawa, November 29-30.
Mini-notebook
Today’s craft of the day is this cute little notebook, hand-painted by Sarah:
